The Festival is a great source of local pride, with the entire community involved in promoting Burgaw to the world in its finest shade of blue. On Friday be the first to purchase fresh blueberries from local farms and eat a fresh BBQ sandwich made by our BBQ Cook-Off contestants starting at 11am until supplies last. Fill the rest of your day by shopping downtown Burgaw for special Blueberry décor, gifts and food all created and sold by our hometown merchants. Cap off your first night in Blueberry Town by enjoying live music and the beer and wine tent. Friday’s headliners will be beach music band The Entertainers. Saturday get up bright and early and join the crowd for a 7am 5K/1 Mile Fun Run/Walk or the 8am Tour De Blueberry Bike Ride. The Festival grounds open at 9am with tons of vendors selling food, homemade décor, jewelry, gifts, leatherwork, woodwork, candles, soaps and so much more! There will also be a kids area with rides, games and entertainment. The main stage will have live music all day from local groups and bands including Eastern NC favorites the Band of Oz. Held on the third Saturday in June, the NC Blueberry Festival provides an opportunity for people to enjoy a full day of family entertainment while experiencing the southern hospitality of a small town.
