PENDER COUNTY – A new video highlighting a few attractions in Pender County was released this week by the Pender County commissioners and tourism office. The video was written, directed and produced by NCA Productions, based out of Wilmington.
 
“A visit to the Wilmington Business Expo resulted in this professional video,” said Tammy Proctor, director of tourism. “We dropped a business card in a drawing. Pender County Tourism was the grand prize winner of a promotional video.”
 
Amanda Nangle, the business manager of NCA Productions, notified the tourism office of the prize.
 
“It was perfect timing,” said Proctor. “We knew we would need a new video for various websites in the coming months.”
 
Nangle and her staff met with the Pender Tourism staff and representatives from the NC Blueberry Festival to discuss areas of interest.
 
“NCA Productions works with businesses and organizations like Pender County Tourism to understand their identity and vision as an organization, highlight their unique attributes, and carry the organization to market in an inviting way,” said Nangle. "In a world where digital advertising is a must, NCA Productions provides promotional videos, photography, and digital advertising at an accessible cost to every organization.”
 
“We provided them with a list of suggestions and a 2016 Pender County Visitors Guide,” said Proctor. "We knew we could not feature every attraction and business in the video - or it would be a television series! We have so much to see and do in Pender County."
 
“Once we knew what Pender Tourism was passionate about, we went to work,” said Nangle.
 
A crew set up appointments for filming at various locations, such as the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue and Rehabilitation Center, Penderlea Homestead Museum, Lewis Farms, and Missiles and More Museum.
 
“We were pleased with the finished product,” said Proctor. “Winning the grand prize from NCA Productions saved the county tourism budget several thousand dollars.”
