Gina and her husband, Santo, and daughter Marissa recently sold their popular restaurant, Santino’s, on Topsail Island.
Gigi Marie Gourmet Foods and Wines is their idea of “retirement.”
“I’m from New York,” chuckles Gina. “I don’t know how to slow down.”
Located at 104 Charlie Medlin Dr., Unit G, Gigi Marie’s offers made-to-order artisan sandwiches, soups, and take-and-bake dinners. They also offer homemade baked goods, loaves of bread, homemade sauces, spices, snacks, and a variety of wines.
“We sell a variety of cheeses and local honey as well,” said Gina.
Gigi Marie’s most requested items are their homemade sauces, desserts, and take-and-bake dinners.
The food and wine store is not a dine-in establishment. But it has everything to meet your craving for fine Italian dishes. The take-and-bake lasagna, eggplant parmesan, and more are delicious. They do the hard work – the food preparation. A customer is required to follow the easy directions on the dish and bake. Walla! A direct-from-the-oven meal!
Gigi Marie’s provides those requested take-and-bake dinners in single to family-size servings.
The gourmet food and wine store is pairing with The Stuffed Olive to offer charcuterie boards. Using quality meats and cheeses, The Stuffed Olive is perfect for gatherings and celebrations.
The store is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Lunch specials and artisan sandwiches made-to-order are popular. Gigi Marie’s also has fresh grab-n-go sandwiches prepared.
Gina selects a variety of imported wines from Italy, France, and Germany.
She loves spotlighting the Sea Turtle Wine.
“The winery donates $1 to the sea turtle hospital for every bottle sold,” said Gina. “We’re pleased to contribute to a local organization that does so much in our community.”
