Safe Haven of Pender County, located at 16406 US Hwy 17 in Hampstead, offers a wide variety of items, including furniture. All proceeds go to assist victims of domestic violence.
Just down the road is the Hampstead Women’s Club Thrift Store. Located at 14435 Hwy 17 in Hampstead, this store features clothing, purses, household items, and more. The items are sorted, and hand selected to offer the best deals on name brands. The proceeds go toward community students in the form of scholarships, as well as supporting non-profits such as the Topsail Senior Center.
FOFF Thrift Store (For Our Furry Friends) offers items donated by the community. The proceeds benefit the Humane Society of Pender County. This store, located in Burgaw at 102 N. US Hwy 117, is filled with a wide variety of items – from furniture to silk flowers, clothing, and more.
Nearby is Monty’s Home Animal Lover’s Thrift Shop. Located at 401 US 117 in Burgaw, this thrift store has all the things a pet lover will want – including gently used pet beds, carriers, cat supplies, and doggie clothing, just to name a few. The proceeds go to support the canine rescue program.
Also in Burgaw is the Pender County Christian Services thrift shop, called Second Blessings Thriftique. Located at 210 W. Fremont St. the store offers donations collected from more than 20 local church congregations. They sell jewelry, toys, home décor, home goods, knick-knacks, and more. The prices are low because the inventory is ever-changing. All proceeds go back into the community to provide food and assistance to the area’s most needy.
