The epic lighted grounds celebration is back for its second year at Poplar Grove’s “All Is Bright, A Holiday of Lights”, a lighted Christmas experience that opens Thanksgiving weekend! "All is Bright-A Holiday of Lights" kicks off November 24th, 2023, and runs Thursday-Sunday until December 30th.
And Thanksgiving Day kicks off with twinkling lights and displays at Lake Linda’s Christmas Lights. Featured on ABC’s Light Fight, Lake Linda is a drive-through display, but you can stop and enjoy the sights.
Or make your plans to experience The Southern Lights—where more of the holiday magic comes to life! Enjoy the light display spread throughout The Gardens, savor wood-fired pizza, sip drinks from the bar, and enjoy s'mores by the fire pits. The Southern Lights will also run on select nights from November 24 through December 23.

Enjoy a hometown hallmark Christmas in Historic Downtown Burgaw!
Join the town of Burgaw for their 15th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting and Christmas celebrations with Santa and a movie on Saturday, November 25th, at 6:00 pm on the Historic Courthouse Square. Christmas activities include singing, lighting of the town’s Christmas tree, a visit with Santa, cookie decorating, s'mores making, letters to Santa, a candy cane scramble, an outdoor movie, and more!
See the Festival of Trees hosted by the Pender Arts Council located inside the Old Dees Drug Store!
Get festive, with a Christmas Tree Lighting and parade at Topsail Beach, one of the best small-town beaches to visit!
Join the town of Topsail Beach on Saturday, November 25th at 4:30 PM for their 18th Annual Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting Ceremony! The parade will begin promptly at 4:30 PM followed by their Tree Lighting Ceremony located at the Town Center Park. There will be light refreshments, caroling, and visits with Mr. and Mrs. Claus!
Hunt for elves on a merry Elf Scavenger Hunt!
Elf on the Shelf is back this year, Hosted by the local Burgaw TDA, Explore more of the holiday fun by visiting local merchants to find their local elf and share a picture of where you find them.
How to play? Stop by participating businesses and take photos with the elves then send them to recreation@burgawnc.gov to be featured in the town newsletter! A list of businesses can be found at burgawnc.gov/elves
Want to visit the beach for a sandy & bright Christmas experience to see decorated and festive floats?
The Flotilla and Market promises to be a fun, family-friendly seaside Christmas event.
Vendors will open at noon, featuring beautiful arts, crafts, and handmade items. Food trucks will be available with favorite treats and local beer available for purchase. Entertainment will feature local performers and live music sponsored by Topsail Dental will be provided by Fryd on the Boat at 3 p.m. Flotilla T-shirts are available for purchase during the event while supplies last. Face painting will be available from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Don't forget to take your picture with Mr. and Mrs. Claus from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Enjoy all the market has to offer while you wait for beautifully decorated boats to arrive—Flotilla Sponsored by Sea Tow. Entry to the market and flotilla is FREE for spectators! Boats are estimated to arrive at 6 p.m.
