Christmas and holiday events will kick off on Saturday, November 30h, at the Annual Christmas Tree Lighting and will conclude on Tuesday, December 31st at the New Year's Eve Blueberry Drop.
“We are excited for the return of our Christmas and holiday events here in Town and can’t wait to share in the fun with our residents and visitors,” said Cody Suggs, Burgaw Parks and Recreation Director. “This will be a perfect setting for memorable Christmas celebrations.”
Below is a complete list of upcoming Christmas and holiday events being sponsored by the Burgaw Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Department.
Event details include:
The 16th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting: Saturday, November 30, 5:00 p.m., followed by the movie The Grinch. The movie will begin around 7:00 p.m.
The 76th Annual Burgaw Christmas Parade: Saturday, December 14, 5:30 p.m. Historic Downtown Burgaw, hosted by the Burgaw Chamber of Commerce and the Town of Burgaw. Entries for the parade should visit burgawnc.gov/parade to register.
Christmas Bingo: Register at burgawnc.gov/register. The cost is $9.00 per person. The event is hosted on Thursday, December 5th, at the Historic Burgaw Train Depot.
Santa’s Workshop: This will be hosted on Friday, December 6, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Burgaw Town Center. 108 E. Wilmington Street. Free to the public. Come meet Santa and enjoy some crafts.
Christmas on the Square: Saturday, December 7, 10:00 am-4:00 pm, features vendors with handcrafted items. Food trucks will also be present at the event. Vendors can register at burgawnc.gov/Christmas
Breakfast with Santa: Hosted on Saturday, December 21st, at the Burgaw Town Center. Register at burgawnc.gov/register for tickets. Includes breakfast, crafts, and visits with Santa. $10.00 per person.
The Annual New Year’s Eve Blueberry Drop: December 31, 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., ringing in the New Year at 7:00 p.m., fireworks display to follow.
